Chorkies, a cross between a purebred AKC registered Yorkshire Terrier and a purebred AKC registered Chihuahua. Although this cross can not be registered with AKC due to the characteristic variations of the cross, they can be registered with the American Canine Hybrid Club.This new breed comes in long hair and short hair varieties. Colors of the Chorkie are broad due to many acceptable colors of the Chihuahua. Colors from the Yorkshire Terrier side include silver, black and blond. Colors from the Chihuahua side include, but are not limited to, black,brown,blue,chocolate,chestnut and white. Coat patterns can include Merle, Brindle and Sable. The Chorkie will exhibit playful characteristics of both breeds, including hunting mice and protecting the family. The Chorkie comes in teacup size (up to 6lbs) and toy size ( 6 to 12 lbs). Chorkies are ideal pets and wonderful companions. Chorkies love to be held and sit in your lap for hours This new "pocket pet" will WOW your friends. Chorkies are easy to care for, they require little or no grooming at all. No brushing and very little shedding to deal with. Our Chorkies have been very carefully selected for our breeding program to give you the smallest,healthiest and friendliest puppies available with exotic coat colors such as blue Merle and chocolate Merle. Many of our Merle Chorkie will have blue eyes. Our Chorkies are home raised and very sociable. Our puppies are up to date on their shots and de-wormings and come with a health guarantee.
